After the birth of their 2nd child in 2002, the wife stopped working. The husband earned $79,000 per year. Spousal support of $1,200 per month is ordered at the interim and provisional stages.
Decision: On the divorce, the court finds that the wife did not demonstrate a serious effort to return back to work and that there was no proof of her incapacity to do so. The court orders support of $1,200 for a term of 1 year after which same terminates.
